General comments:Service department at menlyn telling me that I have to pay for the sump threads that are damaged by theur own technicians. This is usually caused by turning the sump/ oil pan plug backwards incorrectly or too tightly. This may result in a stripped thread, which can lead to an unusable plug and serious damage to the engine. So does why I dont understand why should I pay for this. This means that the simplest of operations such as cleaning a plug and bore, fitting a new washer and screwing it up with a calibrated torque wrench set to the correct value is completely beyond the capabilities of the "lads" to which these tasks are generally delegated. The original was probably damaged when the did a service(by careless technicians). This damage should not happen -I am paying R....... an hour to have 'skilled technicians' work on my car, not unskilled people to make damages to my car.I will be at your office to speak to the technical manager.this is not acceptable.I will also report this.
