Problems: | I just bought a used Mark-X (2005 model) and the plastic cover (reading V6) in the engine is missing. Does it have an important role to play? How can I order a replacement? Kindly assist. |

Plays no role in the car, just makes it look good. You can buy them but only from over seas. |

Hi , 1. The plastic engine cover is the to suppress the engine sound . more quiet. 2. The FOAM underneath the plastic cover is there to prevent the heat of the engine to damage the paint job of your car hood / bonnet. you can either choose to buy it or leave. that the purposed of the engine cover on the Toyota Mark x |
