hilux LN130 smoking habit

hilux surf Ln130, developed leaky injection pump at 140,000 kms, gasket kit, timing belt, h2o pump, etc.all fixed. 5000 kms later head cracked, replaced (different shop) with upgraded toyota head. Now is smoking badly. seems to be worse as turbo kicks in. Electronic pump(denso) tried to advance pump timing. little better power but smokes the same seems to fuel load in A.M. (really smokes on cold start, lots of blue/white changes to black when driving. Mechanics are mystified. something has changed as didn't do this before head replacement. ANY THOUGHTS....
