Toyota Tundra has big rugged factor

Top honours in the Best New Pickup category this year will come down to a shootout between a pair of entries from General Motors and the new kid on the block, the Toyota Tundra.

Four trucks are competing here, but the Dodge dakota -- while a capable entry among mid-sized models -- will have a tough time taking on the big guys, so expect the Dakota to miss the podium.

The Tundra has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the full-sized segment. Introduced in January, it is already causing the Big Three manufacturers to be looking over their shoulders at this young upstart.
