Arrow Loeb set for test stint with Renault squad

Loeb to get Renault F1 test

Triple World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb will be testing for Renault F1 at the start of next month in a test that is being planned at Paul Ricard. This will give the team a great deal of positive press in France. The test has been organised by one of the team??s sponsors which also supports Loeb and it is safe to assume that this is TotalFinaElf, which backs Loeb with its Total brand and Renault with Elf. Loeb, who along with team-mate Dani Sordo, will get to run the Renault in anger around the revamped former French Grand Prix venue, has never raced a single-seater but is no stranger to blue riband racing events having twice competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours race for Pescarolo Sport ?? finishing second overall in 2006.

While Renault has yet to name its official line-up for ???08, reports that Loeb may considering a switch are wide of the mark and Renault have confirmed that it is not an official team test. ITV.com
