(Adds Renault, Peugeot market share, figures for foreign car makers)

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Registrations of new Renault cars in France in April fell 14 pct from the same period a year earlier, while those of Peugeot dropped 7.2 pct, manufacturers' association CCFA said.

Registrations of all brands fell 4.9 pct in France over the period, it said, or a 9.6 pct drop when adjusted for the number of working days.

Over the first four months of the year, the French new car registrations fell 2.3 pct.

Renault's registrations included a 16.1 pct drop for the Renault brand and a 50.3 pct increase for Dacia, which produces the low-cost Logan range.

Peugeot, which had posted a 0.8 pct rise in total registrations in March, saw those for the Peugeot brand fall 8.2 pct last month and those for Citroen drop 5.8 pct.
