Arrow Nissan Appoints Jean-Paul Mari as Vice President, Communications ...

TRAPPES, France, February 12/PRNewswire/ -- Jean-Paul Mari has been appointed by Nissan Europe as its new Vice President of Communications. In this senior role, Mari will oversee all areas of communications including corporate, product, design and technology and internal across Nissan's European operations in 31 countries and will report directly to Eric Nicolas, Senior Vice President, Administration and Finance with immediate effect.

Mari, 58, joins the company with a full career history in communications and the automotive industry. His most recent role was as Director, Communications and Motorsport with Renault Sport Technologies where he was responsible for leading Renault's non-Formula 1 motorsport policy for four years.

Prior to this, Mari held a number of other roles at Renault including Director, Renault Product and Brand Information, spearheading Renault brand's product communication and international press launches. From 1982 to 1993, Jean-Paul was Communications Director for over 7,000 employees at Renault's Douai plant and was also Communications Director at Usinor Dunkerque responsible for 16,000 employees between 1980 and 1982.

Jean-Paul Mari holds a diploma in journalism from the University of Lille. He is married and has three children.

In Europe, Nissan employs approximately 12,000 people in its design, research and development, manufacturing, logistics, and sales and marketing operations. Last year, the company manufactured a total of 507,201 vehicles in its Spanish and British plants and sold 539,773 vehicles in Europe. Nissan Europe's Head Office is based in Trappes (Paris), France.
