We were pleased with the performance of the No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Avenger at Bristol. The crew had the car balanced and fast. Unfortunately, we had a problem which required unscheduled pit stops. That put us at a disadvantage we couldnt overcome. So, were disappointed in the finish. As far as our Car of Tomorrow, I think we have to give the Avengers from Evernham Motorsports good marks after the first COT race.

All the teams had two days of testing with the COT at Bristol. Thats not the case at Martinsville. Josh (Browne, team director) and his team have developed the package well start practice with. Well see how that goes. At Evernham Motorsports, all three teams work very closely together and share information. That will be valuable this weekend at Martinsville. Finding the right balance is the secret for a fast race car.

Martinsville is one of two tracks hosting a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race in my home state. Im excited.
