Allianz sells 16.1 mln BMW shares at 45.55 eur/shr, raises 733 mln eur

FRANKFURT (AFX) - Allianz SE said it has sold around 16.1 mln shares of Bayerische Motoren Werke AG at a price of 45.55 eur per share, raising around 733 mln eur.
The shares were placed with institutional investors in an accelerated bookbuilt offering, the German insurance giant said in a statement.
The bookrunner for the transaction was Merrill Lynch (nyse: MER - news - people ) International, Allianz (nyse: AZ - news - people ) said, adding it was advised by Dresdner Kleinwort.
