Fleet News Awards: Volkswagen Passat On Top
For the second year running, the Volkswagen Passat has been named as Company Car of the Year in the Fleet News Awards.
The Passat was also top in the Best Upper-Medium Car category, again repeating its success in 2006. According to the citation relating to the award, "the Passat has now settled into its role as a pillar of the fleet industry: stylish, reliable, well-priced and with sector-leading residual values. The diesel engines are refined and economical, while the petrol versions offer something for everybody."
Volkswagen achieved record fleet sales of over 106,000 vehicles in the UK last year, and expects to do better still once the Golf Estate and the Tiguan compact SUV (see previous story ) have been launched.
