Here's the last hurrah for the Honda S2000 : the 'club racer-inspired' CR version, which will be unveiled at the New York Motor Show next month. Honda hasn't released any details of this limited-run model, saying only that its engine will be 'aggressively tuned', that it will take the standard car's 'track-worthy performance to an entirely new level', and that it is 'engineered around the expectations and needs of Honda performance enthusiasts'.

The CR spec will be offered as a new trim level in the USA when it goes on sale in the autumn; no word yet on European sales, but we'll keep you posted.
