Arrow Toyota unveils new Highlander at Chicago Auto Show

2008 Toyota Highlander And Highlander Hybrid At The 2007 Chicago ...

CHICAGO Toyota plans to sell an all-new Highlander midsize sport utility vehicle that's a little sleeker and less boxy than the current model. Toyota Motor Sales executive Don Esmond introduced the new Highlander at the Chicago Auto Show. Esmond says the 2008 version is larger outside and has more interior room but its fuel efficiency won't change. The current model gets an estimated 19 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway. The new Highlander will hit showrooms this summer, and a hybrid gas-electric model will arrive a couple of months later. Toyota didn't announce pricing for the new models. The current Highlander has a base price of about 24-thousand-900 dollars.
