US: Nissan recalls more than 650000 Altima and Sentra sedans
The automaker is recalling Altima and Sentra cars because their engines may suddenly stop running. The models affected by the recall are 2002, 2005 and 2006 Altimas and Sentras with two-point-five liter engines.
The problem is with the crankshaft position sensor that can overheat.
When that happens, the sensor briefly stops sending signals, possibly causing the engine to stop.
