Two wheeler sales by the country??™s top motorcycle manufacturer Hero Honda Motors increased by 4.3% to 3,14,567 units during September 2007, when compared with sales in September 2006.

The company, however, did not disclose the break up of its motorcycle and scooter sales figures. A Hero Honda release said that the September sales represented a good start to the forthcoming festival season.

The company??™s cumulative sales for the period January '07 ??“ September '07 stood at 24,22,339 units.

Hero Honda said that it expects to keep up the good momentum and further build on this platform going forward. The company also said that it continues to steadily consolidate more than 50% of market share in motorcycles.
