HONDA Malaysia Sdn Bhd sales have outperformed the targets it set for the first six months of 2007.

In a statement today, Honda said sales increased 6.4 per cent as compared with the corresponding periond last year, higher than the 5.5 per cent target.

Honda attributed the positive performance to the success of its all-new CR-V which was launched in March.

???Sales have exceeded expectations and the company has received a backlog of bookings of more than 4,000 units was received.

???This has already exceeded the company??™s yearly target for the CR-V,??? it said.

Honda said the Civic also contributed to the robust sales in the first half of 2007. ??” Bernama
