2 thumbs up 1993

| | Name, Location: | Ben Romano | | Vehicle: | Lexus Ls400 | | Year: | 1993 | | Modification: | LS400 | | General comments: | My instruments panel also went dark a few years ago, and I resisted spending 1 to 2 grand for repair/replacement. Then after reading through a forum I found BBA-reman.com who repaired it, the broken speedo needle, and the non operating fuel gauge all for $200. They even provide good instructions for removal and shipping.
Now that I have that taken care of, I plan to drive her another 100,000 miles. It has over 220K on it and is nearly as good as the day I bought it in seven years ago.
I did have some problems with the power steering, but other than that just normal maintenance.
It is a more expensive to repair than American cars and non-luxury cars, but it is well built and so reliable. | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Instrument panel (I highly recommend www.BBA-reman.com)
Steering pump
Climate control and clock LCD (an annoyance, but not a big deal to me since it has automatic climate control which I just adjust up or down to suit my comfort, and I wear a watch or cell phone for the time.) | | Previous car: | Maxda RX7 Turbo |
