Name, Location:Springfield, MO, USA
Vehicle:Toyota Tercel
Year:1984
Modification:4WD Wagon
General comments:This was the first car I owned and drove regularly. It was small, got great mileage per gallon and was a blast to drive on snow and ice. I have the 6 speed gearbox, so turning on ice meant countersteering and using the e-brake liberally. I drove it across country, through forests, rivers, mountains, Suburbans, and it rarely let me down. I am proficient in troubleshooting automotive problems now because the car was less than reliable when I received it. I had a tool kit in the boot and used it regualrly. I should have kept it, but I realized later that growing up does not mean your car has to, just you.
What things have gone wrong with the car:Clutch, two bent rims (sideways on ice, meet curb...), electrical gremlins, tires, tires, tires, brakes, stereo, lights, etc. Nothing major to make me not want it back.
Previous car:Bicycle
