| General comments: | I bought my '95 Avy in August '06 with 147k from a private party older couple who placed an ad on Craig's List. It was very clean when I bought it. The only things that show some wear are the front leather seats but not that much wear. The back seats look brand new. The only knock on this car seems to be the styling which is supposedly pedestrian, but I like it. The 3.0L V6 is strong and peppy. When I use Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner at every oil change it gets even peppier. Better gas mileage too! I have tried tried tried to see a difference between using Premium gas and Reg-lur, but I can't. The best gas mileage I've gotten has been with Regular so I'm sticking with that now. Here in California you can get a used Avalon of this vintage for the same price or less as the same year Camry. I was really looking for a Camry when this sweet Avy came along so I went with it and am very happy. The Camry is a great car but the Avalon is everything the Camry is and more. These Avalons are really good cars. The engine and transmissions are really durable so if you can keep rest of the car in good shape it will last for years and look great too. That's my plan. | |
| What things have gone wrong with the car: | â?¢Power Steering Pump -- I understand this is a common problem with this generation of Avalon. It rides smoothly but I'm not sure of the condition of the struts and whether they've ever been replaced. I'm thinking things might get even cushier with new KYB struts. | |

| i having this same car i will grow to like, i like the sound of the motor and and with the ect system it burn as much gas as a 4 cylinder when traveling |
