General comments: | I loved this car. I bought it in 1991 with about 20k miles on it. What a great car! It was fast, comfortable, reliable, got good mileage, and handled great. The visibility was spectacular. I drove this car everywhere - bought it in Massachusetts, lived in North Carolina for a year, Southern Cal, for 2 years, Las Vegas for a year, then back to the east coast. Hot or cold, it never failed. Eventually replaced with a larger car as the family grew. My brother continued to drive to about 200k miles before trading in. I wish they still made the Prelude. My wife now has a wagon and the kids are out of car seats so I could fit into a sports coupe again. I would be at the dealership waiting for them to unload the first Si if Honda brought it back! |
What things have gone wrong with the car: | The CV boots ruptured several times. At least once this led to dirt getting into the axles, which had to be replaced. Replaced the AC compressor while living in Las Vegas at about 100K miles |
Previous car: | Plymouth Sapporo |
