Amazing cargo scooter 1984

| General comments: | I bought this scooter in 1991 at a US government property disposal auction at Sagami Depot, Japan (near Tokyo). It had belonged to the US Navy at Yokosuka, where on-base engineer repairmen used them to travel to repair duties. I put about 1500 K on it in Japan and shipped it to upstate New York in 1994, where I registered and rode it for four years. After a few years of storage while I was in Germany I took it to Okinawa in 2002, where I rode it weekly for five years. It returned to the US with me in 2007, still running. In all those years it has only needed new tires, batteries and spark plugs. Top speed about 55K (35 mph). | |
| What things have gone wrong with the car: | A typhoon in Okinawa tore the windshield off and I had to get another one. | |

| I own the same one as this, it is currently undergoing complete fairings repainting. All parts are still original and intact. |
