General comments: | I bought my rex with 56,000 (not exaclty) miles on it. I was in high school when I first became interested in the little Honda. I had received an '88 HF model for my birthday (thanks Mom), but it lacked the ponies (64...ouch). 6 months later I found a '91 Si sitting outside of a dealership, and I purchased it. Recently I became a father, so the rex has somewhat lost its edge (with the car seat and all). Nevertheless, I still maintain the car and hope to keep it for as long as I can. My wife insists that I trade it in, but I always change the subject when it comes up. One cannot get rid of a car that is so fun to drive. As far as problems, the tranny has gone out twice, but that's because I dogged it racing. Now I'm just concentrating on looks. Racing gets expensive, and even more expensive when you have a family to take care of. All in all, the CRX has been good to me. It's a shame Honda had to discontinue its production and come out with the "Del Slow". Damn insurance companies. Many aftermarket products offered, reliable, compact, and has some pep for a four banger. Very easy to modify (I've seen a 6 go into this car). I'm putting a B16A1 in the car soon. That should be fun. |
What things have gone wrong with the car: | Rust! I have yet to see a rex with a sunroof that is not rusted. And that hatch. Not surprising, that heavy hatch does make some noise. |
