Name, Location:Australia
Vehicle:Daihatsu Rocky
Year:1986
Modification:Daihatsu Rocky DX
General comments:The problem with the head and the cir-clip were while the vehicle was still with the previous owner, who was not the brightest bloke around. As for as the seats breaking, that was due to design of the seat hinges and the severe conditions this vehicle endures. The problem was overcome with a pair of feroza seats which have a bigger hinge on the seat and are a much more comfortable than the original seat. I've also fitted a factory rear limited slip diff, Which has enhanced the four wheel drive ability of this vehicle and on road handling a lot. I also have fitted 15x8 Ford F100 rims and 31/10.5/15 Hankook mud tires. and Pedders Track Rider shocks which are a foam cell shock with internal bump stops. And was fitted with a factory pto winch. Honestly this vehicle is all, but unstopable and great value for money mine owes me $5300 for 3 years of brutal problem free four wheel driving and long distance travel.
What things have gone wrong with the car:The head required work in 1999.

In 2000 while reversing in low4 it spat a cir-clip off reverse gear.

The seats basicaly fell out of it.
Previous car:Ford Falcon
