| Hie ,the Nissan liberty uses a CVT-Continuos variable transmission.This transmission system is different from the usual automatics in that it uses a belt and pully system with a resulting theoretical infinity gears.This is a 20% better fuel economy so they say.The fan sound is normal and indicates initial engagement of drive.Maintanance oil is a more expensive CVT gearbox oil going for around R1000 in SA for 20l.Back up points for parts Japan probably!!! |
