2003 Toyota Vitz engine seize problems

| Problems: | My car's engine got seized on the road while driving I saw the engine oil warning light, I stopped and checked the oil through dip stick , oil was showing full, thinking that the light might be showing due to some other reason I drove the car for about 2 Kms & then i stopped & engine on ignition did'nt start since then! My questions is is it advisable to replace the engine with another compact & full piece or get it repaired, car mileage is about 60,000 kms. Please advise ! |

| replace it...i quetta used engine are avalible.....almost 40000-45000.....so change it....no need to repair... |

| I would suggest not to change your engine, same thing happened with me I opted to repair, repair will cost more around 40k and engine will cost around 18-20k, new engine will be good for driving and repair won't give the driving pleasure but it will save you alot of Hassel from going to police station and registration office to put the number on paper, plus from 50k to 100k price drop when you sell, because people hesitate to buy |
