Name:Sandy Nelson
Location:United States, Minnesota, Litchfield
Vehicle:Toyota Prius
Year:1999
Problems:Why won't it start without putting the key in the ignition? The temp. is 9 above. I stopped at the gas station to fill up, left the car running why I pumped gas into it. Shut the car off, went in to pay for my gas. When I came back out to my car it would not start using the electric start button. I had to put my key in the ignition. Why is that? Thank you.
Previous car:chevy truck

i think it might be because you car is old. or maybe you shouldn't keep the car on when you fill your car with gas, first that's literally wasting money. It's like you're using gas and filling gas at the same time, so giving away free money in simple terms. Second if you're going to going to pay for gas and you already have your car on why turn it off. I know it's to save money, but if it were me i would just leave it on rather than go through the trouble to turn it off then on again. Well it's literally been a year since that problem so i think it's probably fixed and this wouldn't have helped you either way. Thank you for taking those few minuets of your life, to read my about my thoughts. Sorry if all my incorrect spellings/grammar bother you, you're just gonna have to deal because you spelled while wrong in your problems section. (you spelled it why)
