| OD means On screen display. Do you have a digital speedo meter? you may turn it On and Off. In some vehicles L stands for initial gear or first gear, likewise 2 stands for first Two gears would only be changed in Auto transmission. It is commonluy used when you climb up the hilly area upward to an inclined location. hope this satisfies your questions. rgds. Faizan |

| Od means over drive when it off the gears automatically chanhed as u Iincreased or decreased the speed obviously it takes more fuel when it on the gears do not changed immediately it only increased and decreased rpms so it takes less fuel. od is good on highways for fuel efficiency. |

| Regarding Question 2 Answer are almost perfect. for Question 1 I would like to add. Yes this is called OD >>> refer as "Over Drive". as in automatic transmission Gear shift it self Engine RMP and Load (how harsh you want pickup/Accelerate). If you go in "OD off" position means you will be driving in D mode as "Drive mode" and you also feel gear shift but cant reached to top most gear no matter how much load or Speed you have achieve . This is only for get more torque transfer to wheels for little high acceleration. But this cause more fuel consumption, therefore recommended to keep always in "OD-off" until and unless necessary. |
