2001 Toyota Corona Premio brakes not sharp enough problems

| Problems: | The brakes don't seem sharp enough in a sudden stop. The pads and shoes are properly fitted and fairly new. the shoes are also properly adjusted. There are no leaks in the braking system. The reservoir also has enough brake fluid. Yet I seem to have to brake too hard and too long in emergency stops. Any suggestions? |
