2002 Toyota Corolla car starting and cutting out after a few seconds problems

| Problems: | Car starts in the morning or after being left for 6-8 hrs. It then cuts out after a few seconds and will not start after. It turns over but won't fire up until 5 or more turns off the key. Have drained the battery on one occasion trying to start it. Any ideas what the problem could be? |
