1999 Toyota Carina accelaration problem when i convert it to gasoline to gas

| Problems: | hi.. its performance was good when i drive it by gasiline..bt the problem is when i tried to drive by gas its performance getting down...RPM indicator fluctuate from 300-900...after then start getting off...can u people help me out from this problem? another thing is i want to change my head light...wht type should i buy? looking for ur reply.. | hello mr.ruhel, first of all you did not mention any specific "grade" of your 1999 carina. Is it a 1.5 Ti? 1.8 Ti or 1.6 GT? If you own a GT then you should have known that the engine of a 99 carina GT is 4A-GE high revving sports engine which is designed to burn ONLY high octane gasoline such as RON-91 or above. This engine is not supposed to run or perform at all if it converted to operate on CNG natural gas. The problem is NOT with the car or the engine, BUT actually the problem is you forcing the engine to run on natural gas instead of liquid octane. For example - If you forcefully make a tiger eat a house cat's food, I don't thing the tiger will survive for long. Take care |
