2005 Toyota Alphard diagnostic tool cannot link to onboard diagnostics problems

Problems: | my alphard is a 3ltr v6 working ok just can not get my autel 319 to link to the cars diagnostics to assertain any faults. The engine fault signal comes on accationally then goes off the car runs fine its just iritating anyone have any ideas as to how i can link up my autel so it will diagnoe any faults. |

I have the same issue with my 1KD engined Hilux. Apparently the Toyota systems are real picky about the OBD Reader that it connects to. I hear getting one of those Bluetooth OBD Readers might be the way forward as those can be updated(or you can request an update for them). I personally have yet to try this route as the Hilux has so far been trouble free. Hope this helps... |
