Problems:when i first bought the car,it was excellent,but now the engine has knocked and i don't understand what the problem is.

hi,iv got a subaru legacy b4 turbo 2003 model and it has done 104000kms.iv started having some problems with my engine.the engine stalls when hard braking is applied.it cuts out sometimes...iv shown my car to specialists like winger subaru but they have no solution about it.hope to have a positive reply from you soon.thanks.

@melvin, just get a good mechanic and redo the engine, something must have gone wrong oil levels or service.
Redo the car and drive on it should be good just like before.
@pravin, the best answer always comes from the user, if a mechanic can understand what you are saying on braking - should check whether it is electric failure or mechanical at hard braking and from there the problem should be found out.
at times even "jua kali" experts have to take their time and will locate the cause.

try removing the airflow sensor, 2 bolts hold it in place, clkean it with some good quality electroc contact cleaner, the engine ecu will reset itself i9n a while, car will go harder , more fuel efficient and wont stall?

Question start car then N and P gear car escalate more and more no missed the engine but D/1/2/3 change gear
Car move about front few meters, start missed as patrol blocking

suggestion is sell the car,never buy a twin turbo car,they will eventually fail.twin turbo was a disastrous invention subaru came up with.if u want good performance from subaru always go for a single turbo.mark my words,more than half twin turbo owners r complaining.its an engine so delicate n our fuel isnt suitable for that engine!!u cant abuse that engine

My Subaru legacy ,BG3, EJ18, 1997 , A/T
runs the engine as tho it is burning fuel with like 2 plugs , but when you look at the plugs , they are all burning the fuel. It is low on power and wouldn't reverse and drives at Neutral, the engine over heats sometimes.
Timing was checked and it is perfect.
The diagnosis came up with
-TPS,
-air intake system,
-pressure sensor,
-hold switch on the gear box,
-air inflow sensor
