Problems: | I'm the owner of a 160i Classic Opel Astra CDi 2002 model. the car starts like normal, but then dies as if there's no petrol inside. after pressing the reset or immobiliser button again the car starts and once again run for a short time and dies again! I've towed the car for more than 1000 km to find answers to the problem I have, visiting 5 places to date including 2 Delta dealership garages. At the first one I was told that my car's key doesn't activate the computer box because a micro chip is faulty in my key which cost me R5000 to buy a new computer box and key from them, which after installation didn't solve my problem. Then they referred me to another Delta dealer in Witbank where I was told my car is too old and they don't make the keys anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What does this mean???? Do I have to buy a new car because the key doesn't want to work or the computer box doesn't work properly? That’s ridiculous! After visiting auto mechanics someone referred me to a auto electrical locksmith in Vanderbijl Park. When I phone this man he said it’s no problem and will take him 2 hours to reprogram the computer, after towing my car all the way there from Bethal I was disappointed once again!!!!! I’m tired of struggling with this problem which is starting to cost me allot of money, feels like I have a R90 000 white elephant. I’m at a point where I don’t even want to accept a lift from someone driving an Opel. Keep your piece of sh&@#^t, scrapyard toe. |
