| consult another mechanic for second opinion. did he use a diagnostic tool to scan the car ? does he knows how to use it ? i doubt in your place mechanics will have diagnostic tool. to diagnose your car, it will need MUT 2-3 tool of mitsubishi dealers. the trouble code stored in car ECU can be extracted manually if your mechanic do know how. trouble codes your ECU will show will tell you/mechanic exactly what seems to be the problem with your car. you don't just replace ECU.. get the code first then see what it tells. if it tells ECU is dead, then replace, but still you need to check if power to ecu is present before you replace. it will need a lot of checking before you replace ecu. it might just be a simple fuel filter/pump problem. you may contact me.. i am located near you. |
