1999 Opel Astra running hot - over heating problems

| Problems: | i have just purchased this car and notice that when ideling the temperature gauge goes up high. when driving the temperature goes down to about half. the airconditioner and internal car fan are not working. does this have anything to do with the temperature of the car engine in that these defects are related to the engine fan? what else could cause the overheating. the water is full. would appreciate an answer. with thanks Anthea. | |
