2002 Nissan March overheating problems

Report a Problem

Date:January 18, 2011, 1:11 pm
Name:Tatenda Tanyanyiwa
Location:Zimbabwe, Harare
Vehicle:Nissan March
Year:2002
Problems:After traveling about 4 hours with my car it over heated and red warning light went on and the water in the radiator was boiling, on switching off engine it cooled enough for me to restart car and finish the journey.

Of late it has initiated the secondary fan because of overheating during heavy traffic... 2 Mechanics have recommended a possible change in themostat but they seem unsure or to remove themostat completely. Please advise
Previous car:Nissan Sunny FB13

It is possible that your cooling Fan and/or the cooling Fan belt is causing this problem and either or both need to be replaced.
