2004 Mitsubishi Pajero gear shift problems

| Problems: | we have the indicator of 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive in green ,and in the middle we have the orange light that indicates not activation of either 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. the problem is that after driving for about 30 km from base ,the green light goes off and the middle orange light goes on.this will continue unless I stop the car ,shut down the engine then start over again. today i realized that when I go from 2 wheel to 4 wheel ,especially LLC mode the green light goes off and hence no 4 wheel traction is active . I bought this vehicle 6 months ago . I have never been with 4 wheels before and I think this problem was occuring with the old owner but I did not know that . what do you sujest . is it serious or any ordinary mechanic man can fix it. please advise | |
