1995 Mazda 626 sputtering problems

Report a Problem

Date:July 2, 2010, 7:10 am
Name:Michael
Location:United States, Ohio, Amelia
Vehicle:Mazda 626
Year:1995
Problems:The car starts fine, but when the engine heats up the car starts sputtering. If I rev the engine when this occurs the gas pedal does not rev the engine or anything. It's like it is a dead pedal. I have changed the air filter, but it did not fix the problem. I also filled the tank and added fuel injector cleaner. No change. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you very much.

clean out your fuel injectors using electrolysis method buvket or cleaner a battery and your injectors if that don't work the timing could be way off but pressing the gas when timing is off could do something different like stall the motor not feel like a dead pedal. it could your accelerator cable if there is one look under your hood have someone press the gas pedal while in park!!! dont be dumb!!! and get run over!!! lol if you see no movement from any cables or lever allowing gas flow more or less then idk what to say check a troubleshooting book
