2002 Kia Magentis engine management light comes on along with a jolt and then the car locks in third gear and wont go up to forth but wil only go down to second problems

| Problems: | The car is a V6 Auto.There is a jolt and the engine runs at a set rev and the engine management light comes on after about four miles. The gearbox then locks into third and will only traverse between third and second. If I turn the engine off and immediately restart it the engine management light goes out and the gearbox is fine again for another four miles before it happens again. | |
