2006 Toyota Mark X power steering problem in Jamaica

| Problems: | The p/s light suddenly turned on and the power steering becomes difficult to turn at times,it tends to become stiff, whenever i start the car it does not always come on but if i switch off the car and start the car the p/s light comes on. | |

| could be a number of reasons my friend. I havent got so much from what you posted but if there are dashboard lights for no reason then i highly suspect it's the alternator that's dying (lack of enough voltage will cause malfunctioning of your electrical system). My mark X had a problem with lights and then hard power steering, i replaced the alternator,it back to it's mint zooming condition. best advise, let a mechanic check it |

| my 2005 Mark X steering tough I have changed rack and pinion and steering sensor and the problem continue any suggestions. at first, the P/S light was not on after changing the rack and pinion the light come up on the dashboard |
