| General comments: | This is the 3 litre 24 valve engine ,Estate car, well serviced by owner who has owned car since aprox 1993. Mileage 135000miles.the car is prestine ,far too good to scrap. even if it meant buying a new ecu unit,we wood, but could do with some certainty of it being faulty. | |
| Problems: | very difficult to start when engine warm,starts perfectly from cold. Turns over ok but when it wont fire there is no spark at plug,(strobe light connected), as soon as spark accours engine starts and immediately runs as sweet as a nut. tried new Crank sensor, cam position sensor & new ignition/fuel relay. Auto electrician/diagnostic expert recons there is a vey weak pulse from crank sensor. | |
