Name:Sue Harding
Location:Australia, New South Wales, Uranquinty
Vehicle:Mitsubishi L300
Year:1985
Modification:SE 2WD 2litre engine
Problems:Incorrect replacement idler arm supplied, but supplier insists it is the right part number. Actually the correct one was found on a van of the previous model (1982). Supplier of idler arm didn't actually ask for model or VIN number, just year, 2 or 4 WD, and size of engine. (I haven't been able to find out why they were called SC, SD, SE, but suspect it may be engine size, as they seem to look pretty similar on the outside.)

There is an ad for an L300 idler arm on ebay that says it fits 10/83-6/86 SC, SD, SE 4WD, L035GV, L037GV, etc and also 6/86-on SF, SG, SH, SJ 4WD, P23V, P25V, etc - i.e. no mention of SE 2WD. But the fact that it says "SE 4WD" and not just "SE" implies that SE 2WD is different... and not all SEs are 4WD, since I have one that is 2WD.

Hope someone knows about this...
