VW to play Polo in Indian auto field

Volkswagen Polo scheduled to launch in India

German automobile giant Volkswagen just recently launched their Passat luxury sedan in the Indian market.

The company is now working on launching their smaller model Polo in the Indian market. The car would be produced at their plant in Pune.

The full scale production is expected to be started in 2010. The aim is to reach out to the small car buyers in India.

Polo is one of the most popular models in the VW stable. The model to be launched in the Indian market would be a brand new and is being developed in Germany.

The company also owns some other popular automotive brands including Audi, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Skoda and SEAT. Audi, Bentley and Skoda are already selling cars in the Indian market. Even Lamborghini cars are available on sale if a customer is ready to pay for it!
