As the most powerful diesel model in its class, the Toyota Auris T180 delivers 175bhp from its 2.2 litre D-4D 180 engine, and is capable of 0-62mph in a respectable 8.1 seconds, and a top speed of 130mph. Although the four cylinder engine is the most powerful in its class, it is also one of the cleanest.

In order to make best use of the 175bhp available from the lightweight unit, the T180 is equipped with a new rear suspension: a multilink system replaces the torsion beam deployed elsewhere in the range, giving better dynamic performance. Front brake discs have also increased in size to maintain stopping power and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) systems are fitted as standard.

Both the three door and five door version of the Auris T180 are available now, priced at ??18,295 and ??18,795 respectively.
