Default Toyota IST Engine Temperature Indicator

I noticed that there is no temperature indicator on the dashboard of my Toyota IST and I was wondering why? How does this car notify you when the engine temperature goes up? And if it does have a way to notify you, how high does the temperature has to go?

Thanks
