Arrow Spy Photos: 2009 Toyota Sequoia

Spy Photos: 2008 Toyota Sequoia

SANTA MONICA, Calif. ??” The 2009 Sequoia, Toyota's largest vehicle to date, was caught by spy photographers who managed to get distinguishing exterior and interior shots of the prototype. Despite the SUV's heavy camouflage, two trim levels were clearly visible: SR5 and Limited.

Built on the same platform as the 2007 Toyota Tundra , the new Toyota Sequoia is much larger than the outgoing model. Like the Tundra, the Sequoia will get both 4.7-liter and 5.7-liter V8s and either five- or six-speed automatic transmissions. The Sequoia is expected to compete with the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Ford Expedition in overall size, horsepower and tow ratings.

Inside, the Sequoia's new dash and instrument panel looks very similar to the Tundra's layout.

What this means to you: Watch out, Chevy Tahoe. Toyota's big boy looks ready to play.
