2008 Subaru WRX breaks cover!

Subaru's New York debut has been blown by Motor Trend . The May issue of MT is starting to hit the news stands over a week before the car was to debut at the New York Auto Show, much to Subaru's displeasure, I'm sure.

It sounds like the engine and trannys are carryovers from the '07 WRX,

or at least are just tweaked versions of what's now on the market. The

wheelbase has grown, so you can expect more rear legroom. The wagon is

no more, but is replaced by a snappy looking 5-door hatch. The sedan

remains. The dash now has a space for a navigation unit, probably in combination with the radio.
