Renault June new car registrations down 13.5

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Renault's new car registrations fell 13.5 pct last month compared to a year earlier, while Peugeot recorded a 1.4 pct decline, according to figures from car manufacturers' association CCFA.

The French market as a whole saw new car registrations fall by 3.2 pct in June.

Renault's 13.5 pct drop in June follows on from a 9.6 pct decline in May. Registrations for its own brand declined 15.0 pct in June to 52,916, while those for Dacia jumped 34.5 pct to 2,769.
