Arrow Renault Laguna

Renault reveals new Laguna

Official data just released reveals that despite being 36mm wider, 10mm longer and 12mm taller than the current model, the new family car weighs typically 15kg less. And a frugal new 108bhp 1.5-litre dCi diesel helps it meet Renault's eco2 green initiative, which aims to cut a car's environmental impact.

The diesel selection is completed by 128bhp, 148bhp and 173bhp 2.0-litre dCi units, while the petrol line-up is made up of a 138bhp 2.0-litre and a 168bhp 2.0 turbo. All models will have a six-speed manual gearbox, while the 2.0-litre oil-burner will be offered with an automatic, too. The new Laguna hatch and Sport Tourer estate will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September before going on sale in the UK on 12 October. With a new Superfold one-touch folding seat design, the load-lugger will rival the most practical estates, while a coup?© will join the Laguna range next year.
