The 2007 Renault Espace

Renault has tweaked its Espace /Grand Espace MPV with new engines and extra equipment. Entry-level models, priced from ?‚??18,595, are now badged Team, with new choices including 150bhp and 175bhp 2.0 dCi diesel engines with six-speed automatic gearboxes and particulate filters. Both models return 34.4mpg and 217g/km of carbon dioxide .

'Team' models, which replace the Authentique and Expression versions, have air conditioning, seven seats, an eight-speaker CD/radio and heated door mirrors. Special edition Tech Run models (from ?‚??20,444) add a DVD player with two rear screens and a USB/MP3/iPod-compatible audio system, plus chrome-effect bumper strips, a roof bar and rear roof spoiler. Renault is also offering a free portable DVD system with 7" screen for a limited period.

Dynamique versions (from ?‚??22,390) have Team spec plus 17" alloy wheels, chrome-effect bumper strips, tinted rear windows, climate control, part-leather upholstery, a heat-reflecting windscreen, rear parking sensors and front foglamps. A new trim level, Dynamique S (from ?‚??24,140) adds a six-CD autochanger with remote control, carpeted mats, leather/Alcantara upholstery, hands-free unlocking, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, cruise control and six rear sunblinds. Long- wheelbase Grand Espace models are also available in plush Initiale trim (from ?‚??29,835).
