Default 2004 Stagea 250RX running too rich

My 2004 STAGEA 250 RX (VQ25DD engine -V6 2.5L NA, direct injection, 158.3 kW) is running too rich. It has only 33000 kms on the clock. My local Nissan dealer has had it on the diagnostics and could only confirm that the jets are not shutting when throttle is at idle. The vehicle is not marketed in New Zealand and my dealer does therefore not have the appropriate diagnostics software for the engine. They are in contact with Nissan in Japan but I fear it may become a drawn out process getting a resolve. Does anyone have experience with this or can offer any suggestions? Cheers Harry

Default Nissan stagea

I have the same model and year Stagea and because my fuel consumption has risen markedly I have had a diagnostic reading ;
"Swirl Valve faulty"
Running rich is considered a problem resulting from this fault. I am finding it hard to establish exactly what a swirl valve is but I understand it is something to do with fuel mixtures.
I am currently investigating solutions, so would be grateful for any advice.

Regards, Normrt.
